Let the builder know the washer and dryer hookups must be moved to the right wall for your family. It’s not optional. Check other homes by that contractor in the neighborhood to see their usual hookup locations. Once the baby arrives, a family-friendly laundry room will be a necessity.

Make sure you source for that washer plug in repair because we got quoted 2,300-350$ to pull the wires and change the drain spout and dryer vent but you’ll been a plumber and electrician and they usually do not like to work together try and source someone who does both and start now lol some people told me “ I’m an hour away and can do half the job for 700$😭😭

In the mean time you can just get extensions hoses so you can move the machines. Then just put a cute shelf to block that area lol

You can get big plastic mattress covers here in Australia at Bunnings, Maybe you’ll be able to find one of those in one of your stores over there. Protects from dirt and stuff while moving too
