This movie is extremely good. I’ve heard the excuse about how “it was suppose to be like the comic WOT” it was based on the comic but it’s was not a direct adaptation! They had mentioned this before. The movie was very beautiful, it had its small flaws but that’s normal. In my opinion I think it was well made and it represented the grief and trauma that Kara has repressed for many years, she was navigating her way through life until at the end you can see her finally accepting and embracing. I don’t understand the hate and it’s very dissapointing to see people reacting this way. I think the actress did an astounding job. ☹️

Loved the way that the cinematography showed throughout Supergirl showcasing her grief in darkened desaturated environments until towards the end bringing her back into saturation:)

As a huge Woman of Tomorrow comic line fan, this film is perfect the way it is. It was never meant to be an exact adaptation, and what was adapted are so subtly imbued into this dual theme of Superman and Supergirl. The elements of her character are still beautifully crafted, grounded in the idea that she’s a girl who has lost everything, and trying to navigate how to live without what she has always known; and what happens when what she has left is threatened. I can’t shut up about how important her characterization is and I think this film absolutely blew me away.
