my friend's dad ate shrimp with the tails on and when I was a teenager, I thought I was eating shrimp wrong my whole life until I learned he was just weird 😭😭😭

I had a woman get an olive appetizer we had. Bowl of mixed olives and crackers. when I came back a little bit later and asked how she liked them, and she told me "the flavor was perfect but they weren't ripe" I was immediately confused and asked what she meant and she responded with "all of the centers were hard as rocks, and were hard to swallow" I look down, the bowl is completely empty (bowl comes with about 30 olives) I was like "maam, im so sorry but those olives all had the pits. The hard center was the pit" she looked HORRIFIED. Asked us to make her entree to go and ran out. This was about 7 years ago and I always think about it 😅 But from that point forward I warned every single table that those olives have the pits

I had a coworker who purposefully ate cooked shrimp with shells and tails because “keratin is good for you, and this is how my whole family eats them” Then looked at ME like this:🤨🤨🤨. Like I was the strange one after witnessing this. Simon, if you’re out there, please know your shrimp eating habits still live rent-free in my head 😭

Shrimp tails are edible. It’s a form of insoluble fibre. I sometimes eat them, sometimes leave them 🤷🏼♀️

to be fair my first time eating shrimp the whole shell was on...I didn't know but didn't act like this when I found out. just laughed at myself and learned to peel shrimp 🤷🏻♀️
