I am retired law-enforcement, and I’m gonna give you this very easy way to shut down a cop. The first Deputy on scene is considered the primary the primary investigates that is their job. The secondary also known as backup. Their job is to keep the scene safe for the primary to do their job. All this cop had to do was sit on the hood of her car leaning and just watch this guy recording did not have to interact unless the person recording wanted to didn’t have to do a single thing except weight until the primary cleared the call.

I have backed up many in my career and all I do is watch the surroundings. I don’t interact unless somebody wants me to. I just stand there quietly observing any form of threat. It is my job to trust that my primary is investigating as well as keeping themselves safe from the person they’re investigating.
