I think Sithole is genuinely the pivotal player of the World Cup. Messi, Dembele, Haaland, Mbappe, Vini, those are all impressing us with their performances, but Sithole is different. His first game could've incentivized him to just give up, thinking he wasn't able to do anything, but he still fought so hard, the coach trusting him, believing in him, and thus he became a kind of cult hero, may I say. He impressed everyone with his follow-up performance, making even the smallest of football fans root for him. Even if it may be a joke that his elimination is sad, I genuinely wanted to see him redeem himself after the first game he played, and also help his country, for which he fought so hard, win their first knockout match in their respective history. What a player, man.
