can anyone give bit of practical advice plz im due soon..is it worth bringing the bed downstairs and a commode thing. its not the operation thats worrying me its the recovery, mentally also as I get cabin fever to start with being in..thank u in advance x

I had my left hip done last Monday. And I’m finally able to take a couple of steps without my walker. You’re doing great. I wasn’t doing that good after 3 days. Keep it up.

I’ve having a total right hip replacement on Monday august 17th - I’ve waited a year and half due to needing 3 heart stents in that time - my cardiologist finally approved my surgery - I’m so ready and tired of limping and pain - have not been able to hunt or fish in 2 years - ready for a new life but I am very scared as this be my very first major surgery at 56 years old - any advise is greatly appreciated ???

Any advice i was told i need surgery on right avn3 iam 34 but have full mobility no pain at rest or standing just if i put weight dont onow how long i can go dtlr told me i need surgery timing is up to me ?

Going on 2 yrs since mine, I had complications, lost alot of blood needed 2 transfusions and now I am not enjoying the life I was promised because of mobility issues

I had the right hip replaced 10 yrs ago. I used a walker for a couple weeks and then a cane. I didn't have physical therapy. I walked every day. And walked a lot. I also had 2 grandsons that were my motivation. It definitely gets better.

Had mine in November I can’t even tell had replacement these days honestly. Ur doing fantastic on day 3 honestly

I never used a walker or crutches. I work on heavy equipment. Return to work five days later. Don’t think it wasn’t a lot of pain. I had mine done six weeks ago and still walking and climbing up on machinery

If you’re in good physical condition when you go in for surgery, super easy recovery. The worst thing to do is lay out when you get home get up and walk as much as you can.
