It was a horrific accident but the Smiler is super safe now and one of if not the best rides at Alton Towers, it holds the world record for the most inversions on a ride - they worked so hard to ensure nothing like that could happen again and it’s one of the safest rides there now because of it

She told it wrong btw the true story is that they sent the test cart but didn’t communicate with other staff properly so when they sent the car full of people and the coaster stopped at the first incline because the ride has check points and won’t send a second cart unless the first goes past it so a staff worker had to manually override the coaster to send them so when the cart went and the made the collision the two girls in the middle had to get their legs amputated one of them were airlifted to the hospital and the two men on the outside one shattered his knee and got his pinky chopped off and I’m not sure about the other one but they were sat waiting to get rescued for 4 hours and medics were told not to rescue them because it would be too dangerous to go up there

Broski what is she on about the smiler is not scary it’s lit just a rollercoaster and also it just malfunctioned so it wasn’t Alton towers fault and I have been on smiler like 5 times and it is so good
