They did not say that. They just asked for them to be clean! Nothing was said about new with tags!

I think a lot of people are taking these videos out of context. I don’t believe the people in Venezuela are upset because they only want brand-name clothes. What they are speaking out against are donations that arrive with holes, stains, or in filthy condition. We have to be honest—that isn’t respectful to anyone. If the clothes are used but clean and in good condition, I don’t see anything wrong with donating them. The videos I’ve watched don’t say the clothes came from the United States. They simply show that someone sent dirty or damaged clothing, and they ask people to be more considerate. We should be careful before jumping to conclusions or spreading misinformation. The same thing happens here in the United States after hurricanes or other disasters. People are grateful for help, but it’s understandable when they point out that some donated items are ripped, stained, or unusable. Let’s be careful about what we believe and what we share. Helping others is a blessing, but we should always give with dignity, respect, and love.

People sorting the clothes need to classify which items are in good condition. People donating the clothes need to use common sense and send only clothes that are in good condition. Empathy means asking yourself, “If I wouldn’t use this item in its current condition, why would someone else?”

I think we need to look at both sides with compassion and fairness. First, I do not agree with anyone demanding brand-name clothes or only accepting items with tags. If someone is asking for that, I don’t support it. A gift given with a sincere heart should be appreciated, whether it’s from Walmart or anywhere else. But I also don’t believe it’s right to send garbage. Shipping donations to another country costs money, time, and effort. If someone fills a box with stained clothes, ripped shirts, broken shoes, or unusable items, that is not helping anyone. If I can’t donate something clean and in good condition, then I simply won’t donate. God knows my heart and my circumstances. We also have to be careful with social media. Some videos may exaggerate, and others only show one side of the story. That’s why we shouldn’t judge an entire country or everyone involved based on a few clips. Most importantly, let’s put ourselves in their place. Imagine losing your home, your loved ones, or everything you own, and then opening a box filled with things that should have been thrown away. Most of us would feel hurt. Wanting to be treated with dignity is not the same as demanding luxury. Let’s be human. Let’s give with love, respect, and compassion. Used clothing in clean, good condition is a blessing. Garbage is not. At the same time, demanding expensive brands or only new clothes with tags is not right either. Respect and gratitude should go both ways.

I think that we should just be appreciated to whatever we receive donations are donations in a disaster like that who would wanna be with Adidas or brands closest clothes, donations, or donations we just gotta be thankful and whatever is not useful. Just put it to the side.
