Wow, what an amazing and informative video you just made! I’ve been doing a deep dive on my pinstripe Calathea, which was open. Her leaves were open just the other day, and she’s curled up with a few days now, and I just didn’t know anything about them. All I knew was that they were pet-safe, and I was so happy to have them on a lower shelf with a grow light. I’m not sure if maybe she’s too close to the grow light, but with all your information, I’m starting to understand that maybe I need a humidifier. I was kind of trying to avoid adding more to my plant collection, but this plant is so beautiful, and I have such a good range of other different plants, but I think you have answered so perfectly and made me understand.

Dottie (the purple one) is most sensitive to any changes! Maranta are the easiest.

my calathea came in sphagnum moss and its growing wonderfully it just opened 6 new leaves last week, but I'm not sure if i should keep it in the moss. I've also seen a few black bugs jumping around in the pot so I was thinking of repotting or doing something to fix that but not fully sure what to do

My sister has it in normal soil and in her kitchen and uses tap water and hers is thriving

I recently bought a peacock and a prayer plant and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite plants, looking forward to getting more. I also have well water and they are thriving
