Personally, I wouldn't "push" anything. I'd document on paper, save text messages, voice mails, who he took, when, how often, when he cut visits short, etc. That way if there are ever custody disputes, you have the upper hand. I'd let the boys slowly see his choices as well, not bashing, just factual and supportive allowing them to form their own opinions.

You will work this feeling through therapy. If there is any advice I can give stop feeling guilty. The situation is not easy, it was not created by just you. You put a lot of blame on yourself and it breaks my heart seeing that. You’re a great mom and always there for those boys. It’s hard when you don’t have them. I get it. You’re giving the opportunity to them to be with both parents. It’s difficult and the hardest thing you have to do as a single parent. Keep pushing you got this.

Do all 4 boys have the same dad? You mentioned 3 here so just curious or if you are having to navigate two rough co parenting relationships. You are in my thoughts and prayers and are doing amazing! 💗😭

I am going through a similar situation. I have 3 little girls & just a couple weeks ago they started to stay with their dad every other weekend & it’s been soooooo difficult because my daughters have always been with me & we have never been with out each other. The 1st weekend they stayed with him all I did was cry & counted down the days/hours they would be back home. I hope one day it will get easier because I dread when it’s time for them to leave because I miss them so much. ❤️🩹

Do exchanges in a safe place that you feel comfortable. Do not interact with him when doing the swap, unless it absolutely necessary. Ignore him and once kids are bucketed up you say “ Good bye, have a good day.” Then get in your car and leave. Ignore any text unless it’s about the kids and it’s important, keep messages short and sweet. Show him he doesn’t bother you.

For more toxic exchanges some people do transfers in a public space or police station parking lot. It helps have a safety part or even get a car camera so you get proof of thing she says to you.

This seems so simple but it is a saying that has helped me through difficult conflicts and situations. You can only control what YOU can control. You can’t control how your co-parent acts, but you can control how you react. And I am sure you are doing all you can to never let your boys see your anger and hurt, but continue to be positive. You can control how they see you speak about their dad. You can control how you interact with him. The boys will see that and in time you will come to feel less guilty about how things are because you have controlled your portion of the narrative they see

itbdoes get better, I had a hard time when my daughter had to go for the first few months, she was screaming at first, but the more we did it, the better it got. it takes a while, but it will be better. hugs for you momma
