raising canes at home ✨ - since i am in my “make it at home era”, i decided to try out making the raising canes chicken tenders and sauce from scratch and it turned out so so GOOD!!  what you’ll need:  Chicken Tenders Wet Mixture  • 1 1/2 pound (24 oz) chicken tenders • 3/4 cups buttermilk  • 1 egg, whisked  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce  • 1/2 tsp salt  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder  • 1/4 tsp onion powder  • 1/4 tsp black pepper  • 2-3 cups neutral flavored oil, plus more as needed for frying  Dry Mixture  • 1 1/2 cups flour  • 1/4 cup cornstarch  • 1 tsp baking powder • 1 tsp salt  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder • 1/2 tsp onion powder • 1/2 tsp black pepper  Raising Canes Sauce • 1/2 cup mayonnaise  • 1/4 cup ketchup  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder, adjust to taste  • 1/4 tsp onion powder • 1/4 tsp black pepper • 1/4 tsp salt, adjust to taste  here’s how to make it:   Chicken Tenders - In a bowl, mix together the tenders and all of the wet mixture ingredients (except for the oil). Cover and marinade for 1-4 hours or overnight in the fridge. In a separate bowl, whisk together all of the dry mixture ingredients. Mix in 2-3 tbsp of the wet mixture into the dry to form a crumbly texture. Thoroughly coat each tender in the dry mixture. Transfer to a wire rack to rest for 10-12 min (important for crispy tenders). Heat oil in a frying pan to 350F (make sure oil is not too hot to prevent tenders from browning too quickly before it’s fully cooked). In batches, fry the tenders, 3-4 min per side or until golden brown. Transfer to paper towel lined baking sheet.  Raising Canes Sauce - in a bowl, add and mix together all of the ingredients until smooth.  To Serve - plate tenders with sauce and serve with side of fries and toastedTexas Toasts (optional). Enjoy!!  #chickentenders #raisingcanes #FoodTok #canessauce #Recipe
