@themacgyverparent: We don’t pay our kids allowance or for doing chores. They can earn money through jobs that are not part of everyday life. Typical age-appropriate “chores” are expected to be done as part of living in a community and caring for the things we’re lucky enough to have — and no one pays for that. I don’t want my kids only learning to trade labor and time for money but they need to understand it, and how to get that initial bit of money to grow. We let our kids practice paying a nominal rent each month learn about economics and exchange of money in a holistic way. Imagine going into adulthood being a pro a managing your expenses, making money through value creation and never living paycheck to paycheck or worrying about having to stay stuck in a job. This is how you raise kids who are entitled to wealth just like the rich. ➕Follow for systems to raise world-ready kids without the burnout 🔖save this and try it out with your kids! #capablekids #parenting #systems #momlife
