The typical criticism I observe is with influencers who post “here’s how to spend 24 hours in Lisbon” and they’re recommending a ricotta pancake with an oatmilk matcha latte, a birria taco from La Malquerida, and an omakase dinner (with a couple of pastéis de nata through the day) and I think that criticism is fair. You live here, so I would expect your content is more varied and less criticized.

90% of the time, if you are speaking to a portuguese person, expect sarcasm. the problem is that portuguese sarcasm is very hard to translate. we are like that online and real life. learning portuguese is not the hard part, understanding the 100 meanings a word/expresion has
