Isn't it a challenge to keep the bloom filter and the database synchronized? What happens if after one gets updated the update to the second one fails?

For people wondering, it's just one very large array of 1s and 0s for the whole dataset. If you make the array be 10x the amount of items in the dataset you will only get a 1% false positives rate.

this would have to be a memory lookup so would need to be something like Redis. to rebuild this set from the base data may take a long time. not sure if its faster than say pinning an index in the database
