My son is 7 now and if I think back to when he was 3, I’d lost all hope of hearing his voice, or hearing him even say “mummy”. Now I’ve lost count of how much he can say. Don’t give up mama xx

This was my son in pre-k and beginning of kindergarten, I’d cry because he couldn’t tell me how his day went … we’d just walk home in silence. By the end of kindergarten he was talking up a storm and I’d smile the whole way home because I prayed so hard for me to hear his voice 🥹🥹

If you measure happiness agains the experience of others, you will never find happiness, he will show his love other ways, don’t wish for other things when what you have is perfect 👍

I’m in the same situation with my 3-year-old son. It hurts so much to see younger children doing so many things while your own child can’t. I pray to God for all our children and ask Him to heal them. ❤️🙏

His happiness is plain to see though. Other kids will hide that. I love him

It takes time. They all develop differently. For me it took him being 7 before he finally started making whole sentences, now he won’t stop lol

Actions speak louder than words. The way he runs toward you says everything. Even though he can't express it with words, his actions show just how much he loves you and how much he's missed you. His love shines through in the way he seeks your comfort and wants to be close to you. You're clearly his safe place, and that's something truly special.

My daughter is 12 and non verbal. Let me tell you a few things that we have that other parents will never understand. I can walk through any gift/trinket store and never get asked to buy anything. My kid doesn't compare herself to anyone. She doesn't feel insecure or try to "fit in". She is always authenticity herself. When she shows affection, it's because she loves me, not because she wants something. People always say "I don't care what other people think", when they don't mean it at all. People like our kids genuinely don't feel judgement. I think that's pretty bad ass.💕

Are those other kids even 1 tenth of how happy and loved as he clearly is? As one autism parent to another you are doing a great job.
