My opinion of this entirely depends on where that book was kept. High shelf? No way a toddler got it herself. Low shelf because that was the only place it fit… Susan’s story gets more credibility but she still should have been watching her

Wasnt the book on the top shelf of a bookshelf? She would have had to shake the books down. Susan would have had to bring the book down and leave it somewhere at the very least. I don’t believe she “wouldn’t do that to him” bc she would have to hold some value in the book and she clearly doesn’t by the way she was talking about it. Shes not even remorseful .
