No technology. Growing up in the 90’s and early 2000’s was magic to me. Bike rides around town, meeting up at the pool, playing baseball in the empty lot next to my grandparents with our cousins and neighbor hood friends until the sun went down. Glitter, neon nail polish and butterfly clips. 💖

When my grandmother would snag me from summer camp jail (not fun summer camp it was the super lame after school extended care so it just felt like a prison) and I’d go grocery shopping with her and I’d swim and she’d make me get out after two hours and eat saltines and peanutbutter and sip a sprite. Then we’d nap together in her room with the big fan going. My grandpa would BBQ for dinner and my single mom would come over after work and eat dinner with us and I’d beg to spend the night. Sometimes we went home and sometimes I’d get to stay and we would watch Heidi or the sound do music and my grandma would make a huge bowl of popcorn. We’d do a night swim and dry off looking at the stars. Magic ❤️I miss that so terribly much

We stayed outside most of the time playing with friends, riding our bicycles, swimming. we didn't carry water bottles, no helmet, rarely washed our hands, no hand gel, rode in back of a pickup truck. somehow survived 😂

We used to go camping at my grandparents site. maybe once a month we would stay there for 3 or 4 days. The campground had everything you could ever ask for
