I was maid of honour, until I got pregnant and my due date was 3 weeks before the wedding. She froze me out completely, like I stole her thunder. Baby then arrived on her birthday 😆

I don’t really understand a child free wedding. I love my friends kids and I would want them there too x

My best friend is having a child free wedding, however I finally fell pregnant with our second and will have an 8 ish weeks old for the wedding. He's already discussed with his lovey bride to be and they have categorically said that they would rather me be able to celebrate with them and bring the baby than not be there on their special day.

We had a child free wedding. But babies in arms would have absolutely been welcome if anyone had one! Child free weddings are better, in my opinion. Taking my toddlers to weddings is stressful🤣 I’ll have a newborn at the next wedding I attend, my kids aren’t invited as it’s a child free wedding too, but when I told my friend I won’t be leaving my baby that young, she said she can come. Babies do nothing, no bride/groom should ever not allow babies in arms, especially if it’s a friend😅

we had a childfree wedding and my moh fell pregnant 14 months before the wedding. we straight away said her baby can come, I would never split a feeding mum and babba. but she decided nearer the time to have the baby brought to her in the morning for a feed and she pumped and baby went off. but it was absolutely her choice.

We didn’t want kids crying all through our wedding. So kids weren’t invited. My best man’s wife gave birth the day before the wedding. He came and did his bit and left to go be with his family no hard feelings from anyone.

My brother had a child free wedding so I said no hard feelings bc I 1000% respect that but I couldn’t come bc my youngest was only 6 weeks old - he and his wife made an exception as long as my partner sat in the side room with her for the main ceremony

I think you would just have to say I’m sorry but I can’t do this , I can’t imagine 4 days postpartum going out especially still feeling in pain . The bride should have ofcourse said don’t worry if you can’t do it I totally understand..

It’s 1 day for your friend or your stay home with your baby. You don’t ask the bride to accommodate you, you accompany for your friend or don’t go. As a mum of 2 this has happened to me a handful of times and I choose what is right for me and my kidsat the time of the event it’s not the host job

We’re going to a child free wedding but she let people know who had kids under 5 months that they could come as they were so small. Most of those parents have planned a babysitter in the hotel room from the dinner on and will go up and down etc, baby’s so small you would have to make allowances I’m sorry,

If i’m 4 days post partum, and i still make it out of my way to attend your wedding, and you say to me the baby is not allowed. I’m not staying. It’s completely fine to want a child free wedding. But don’t be pissed when i have to make my baby a priority because they litterally depend on me on a whole nother level.
