🌟 Vodka Sauce Lasagna 🌟 Creamy, cozy, cheesy lasagna with homemade vodka sauce. 🧡 took inspo from: @foodsofjane  🛒 Ingredients Vodka Sauce * 2 tbsp olive oil * 1 tbsp butter * 1 small yellow onion, diced * 4 garlic cloves, minced * ½ tsp red pepper flakes (more if you like a kick) * ½ cup vodka * 6 oz can of tomato paste * ¾ cup heavy cream * ½ cup grated Parmesan * Salt & pepper * Basil + parsley, chopped (for finishing) Lasagna * 1 lb lasagna noodles * 1 lb Italian sausage (I did a sausage/beef mix) * 15 -16 oz ricotta cheese * 1 egg * 1 tsp Italian seasoning * Salt & pepper * 2–3 cups shredded mozzarella (aka… however much your heart tells you) * ½–1 cup Parmesan cheese (again… listen to your soul) 👩‍🍳 Instructions 1) Make the Vodka Sauce 1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil + butter. 2. Add onion and cook until soft + translucent (about 5 minutes). 3. Stir in garlic + red pepper flakes; cook ~30 seconds until fragrant. 4. Add tomato paste and cook a minute to deepen flavor. 5. Pour in vodka and simmer 2–3 minutes to cook off alcohol. 6. Stir in heavy cream + Parmesan. 7. Season with salt & pepper. 8. Simmer 5 more minutes until thick and luxurious.     * Save ~½ cup sauce for the bottom & top layer if you’d like.     * I had to make extra vodka sauce because I ran out 🥴🫠* 2) Cook the Meat 1. Brown sausage (or sausage/beef mix). 2. Drain fat and add meat into vodka sauce. 3) Mix the Ricotta Filling In a bowl combine: * Ricotta * Egg * Italian seasoning * Small handful mozzarella * Some Parmesan (sorry I don’t measure) * Pinch of salt & pepper 4) Assemble the Lasagna 1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. In a 9×13 baking dish, spread a thin layer of vodka sauce. 3. Layer in order:     * Lasagna noodles     * Ricotta mixture     * Meat vodka sauce     * Sprinkle mozzarella + Parmesan Repeat layers 3 times, ending with vodka sauce + a generous snowfall of cheese on top. 5) Bake 1.
