This ! I’ve been struggling for 6 years with sever chronic pain in my joints and sjrogens runs in my family and I’m struggling to find answers 😪 I live in mass and can’t seem to get a second opinion anywhere !

every couple months my salivary glands which I thought were my lymph nodes swell up and get a rash that’s how I know i’m having a flare up, this happens either right before my period or after my period. while during a flare up I got lab work done and sjorgrens was positive. but 20 days later more ana testing was done and it was negative why could this be ? I have to travel almost 3 hours away to see a rheumatologist which my first apt is MONTHS away but I am exhausted and hoping for some answers 😔

Since my lab results were negative, unfortunately my physician doesn't support that Sjogren's is an issue. Dry eyes (diagnosed with severe dry eye condition recently, under the care of an eye specialist now), dry mouth, dry cough, abnormal lung tissue on CT (seeing a pulmonogist now), and joint pain. It's concerning that none of my doctors acknowledge the possibility since my lab work was negative. Doing my own research now.

Let’s not forget to mention that 30-40% of people affected by Sjogrens are sero-negative. Like me. 30-40% is no small number. Besides affecting the eyes and the mouth, it can also affect the ears (eustachian tube dysfunction), the esophagus (reduced esophageal motility), the stomach, the intestines, the female lady bits, the joints, the tendons, the fascia, the skin, and as you mentioned the nervous system (neuropathy). It can also cause vasculitis. Perhaps you tried keeping your video short. There’s so much more to Sjogrens. No wonder we are turning to each other for support when that should come from our rheumatologists. Sorry, but your video is leaving out really important aspects of the disorder.

i wish doctors would study this more. and i wish it wasn't associated so much with dry eye and dry mouth. it's so much more than that. in fact it's the least of my symptoms. I have sjogren's. it's awful and debilitating
