another alternative for the cone, try a travel neck pillow!! they work wonders, have had to do it before 🖤 hopefully everything goes well x

hey just for some peace of mind, no matter how long the wound will be, the healing time will be the same as wounds heal across horizontally rather than vertically if that makes sense!

Vet nurse and GSD owner here. This clinic sounds amazing and you certainly made the right choice getting the gastropezy done as well. And those prices are incredible especially for a mature female dog. Sending my love for her recovery💗

As a vet nurse who works in emergency and often sees dogs with GDV end up either being euthanised or getting the surgery and owners having 6-8k vet bills from the emergency surgery.. you made the right call getting the preventative surgery done

I know it’s really scary but GVD is sooo important, I’ve been a vet nurse for 5 years and the amount of times doggos have had to come back after surgery as an emergency is crazy - you’ve done the best thing possible for her and she’s in some very safe hands, I hope everything goes well for you both and the recovery is super quick 🩷
