one time I talked to chatgpt about this HAHAHHA I asked "who gets to decide what people deserve" kasii narinig ko na rin yan once and hindi ko maintindihan noon kung bakit sinabi sakin na "you deserve better" kung I know what I deserve and I want to choose this person... Sabi ni chatgpt, while we ourselves get to decide what we deserve, that person also gets to decide what they can receive. Now I understand it better. When people say those words, it's because they're not ready or they don't want to receive the love and energy that we give them. when they tell me I deserve someone better, I just know it's over. a person who truly loves you will never let go of you just because they think they don't deserve you or they're not suitable for you. if u think i deserve better, then be better, do better because I loved you regardless of your shortcomings or flaws so don't resort to pushing me away when things are not easy for you or when u feel little. if they leave because they think u deserve better, then maybe their love was simply shallow. maybe they didn't love you that much, or didn't love you enough to make an effort to become better for you. or maybe they never truly loved you because I believe, if you truly love the person, no matter how complicated the situation is, u will always have a choice, but it depends on you to whom you'll be making that choice for.

Sometimes, we get blinded by someone's potential, kaya we choose to hold on to the hope that they'll change. Kaya dont place your value on someone's ability to change. What they show you is who they truly are. If they can't change, then that's on them. That's who they are, and perhaps, from the very start, they never really deserved you.
