@hookedoncomics: ⭐️ Weekly phonics tip! ⭐️ Is it a -ch or -tch? When the /ch/ sound follows a short vowel it is spelt with a -tch, like in the word catch or sketch! When the /ch/ sound comes after a consonant or a long vowel sound it is spelt with a -ch, like in the word inch or beach! When a word starts with a /ch/ sound it will also be spelt with a ch as the -tch spelling pattern is not used as a beginning sound! *** some notable exceptions to this rule are the words: such, rich, much and which (as these words should use -tch) *** Looking for more practice with the -tch ending sound?
