I feel like I’ve always been the floater friend, meaning I had lots of friends but never a core group who a saw as my ‘people’. After moving to the coast three years ago as an adult, I’m learning to be content with the person I am but still looking to find my people out there in my new home. Until then, I keep putting myself out there and doing the brave things. We’ll get there!

Feel this. I changed schools a couple times as a kid and as an adult I’ve lived in 3 different cities. I didn’t find it difficult to make friends but life changes makes it difficult for me (and I think also them) to maintain. As I’ve grown I’ve also realized I’m quite neurospicey so I crave down time alone to unmask and feel a lot of shame that can cause me to disconnect if I’m not doing well. As an adult, I lost of dad, was in an abusive marriage and went through a divorce, and have had a long period of unemployment. My sister is my best friend and that helps. We talk and see each other many times throughout the day/week. But I’ve otherwise let friendships go a bit. I have 2 where we could text each other random stuff or I need you right now and we’d drop most things to help. But we don’t see each other often. It’s all just kinda depressing 🤣😭
