I grew up in church being told that God created humans because angels didn’t have free will… and He wanted beings who could choose to love Him. But then I actually read the Bible. And it says a third of the angels rebelled. Hold on… How do you rebel… without free will? That alone should make you pause. But it gets worse. We’re told Satan caused rebellion. But Satan hadn’t fallen yet. So where did the first rebellious thought come from? Because if nothing evil existed yet… then that desire had to come from somewhere. Either: • God created beings capable of rebellion • Or rebellion came from outside of God And both of those create problems. And here’s the part nobody talks about: If angels are literally in the presence of a perfect, all-powerful God… seeing Him fully… experiencing His glory… Why would anyone rebel? That’s like standing in front of the sun and choosing darkness. It doesn’t make sense. And this is what happens when you go from being told the Bible… to actually studying it. You start realizing: A lot of what we were taught… isn’t actually in the text. It’s explanations layered on top to make the story feel more coherent than it actually is. #exfundie #deconstruction #exvangelical
