Okonomiyaki from Japan 🇯🇵 Here’s the recipe! Inspired by @Drew eats | food & recipes In a large bowl combine Half a cabbage, shredded / chopped with a few stalks of chopped green onions and sliced white onion if desired In a separate bowl whisk together 1c AP flour 3/4c tempura flakes (or panko) Dash of salt 1/2tsp baking powder 1/2 tbsp Dashi powder 1.5c water 3 eggs Set aside For the sauce- whisk together 1tbsp honey or sugar 1tbsp oyster sauce 1tbsp soy sauce 2tbsp ketchup 1tbsp Worcestershire sauce Double if needed, set aside for topping later. Combine the cabbage and batter. Add half the batter to a hot lightly oiled skillet on medium heat, add bacon or pork belly on top. Cook for 5 minutes or until the bottom is crispy and flip- cook until bacon is fully cooked. Top with Okonomiyaki sauce, kewpie mayo, furikake, bonito flakes, Aonori, if desired.
