Perhaps some of you guys can enlighten me, but I'm really curious, what would stop Ripple from simply using their stable coin RLUSD for the transactions? I mean do they really need XRP for cross border payments? They could just convert Fiat into RLUSD, send it over their network, and then convert it back from RLUSD to whatever Fiat currency the other side wants. So where would XRP be needed in such a scenario? People keep saying that XRP needs to be at a certain value for cross border payments to make sense, but no matter how hard I try to convince myself, I just don't see it. The way I see it is that XRP isn't even required for cross border payments. Your thoughts please.
