Yeah, just finished…this book didn’t do it for me. Bummed. She is a new author, and while her writing is good, she’s not good at writing heartfelt yearning or spice—like at all. If I had to read Theo rant about how beautiful she was and how much he loved her one more time. Or have them interrupted as they start doing something—like find another way to build tension! It was too much. And you could tell that the skill level to execute proper tension/build isn’t there yet. I feel like people are trying to recreate Rhys and Xaden level declaration, but lack the skill to make it meaningful…or earned.
