My boys are 11&12. They do their own laundry, vacuum, sweep, mop, clean the bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dishes, they’re learning how to cook from scratch, they know how to grocery shop and keep a budget, and more. I started teaching them YOUNG because I want them to be professional adults by the time they turn 18 so they don’t get taken advantage of and can take care of themselves in case I’m not around.

Take him through every regular person chore you can think of . Show him once- once! And ask him to start doing those things randomly throughout the week . The expectation that you’ve already shown him he should know
