UK: Major move by Rochdale Council, resolution passed in support of Kashmiris The Rochdale Council in the UK passed a resolution on the evening of July 16, 2026, regarding the current situation in Pakistan-administered Jammu & Kashmir. The resolution was moved by Liberal Democrat Councillor Mohammed Khizar, representing Falinge, Belfield, and Smallbridge. The resolution demands that the Rochdale Council write to the British government, urging the Foreign Office and the incoming Prime Minister to initiate immediate negotiations with the governments of Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Jammu & Kashmir to take effective measures to resolve the humanitarian crisis that has been ongoing for the past forty days. The resolution was supported by other political parties during the session, while the Reform and Conservative parties did not support it. Following the vote, the resolution was passed, which is being described as a significant development regarding the humanitarian crisis in Pakistan-administered Jammu & Kashmir. برطانیہ: روچڈیل کونسل کا بڑا اقدام، کشمیریوں کے حق میں قرارداد منظور برطانیہ کی روچڈیل کونسل نے 16 جولائی 2026 کی شام ہونے والے اجلاس میں پاکستان زیر انتظام جموں کشمیر کی موجودہ صورتحال پر ایک قرارداد منظور کر لی۔ یہ قرارداد لبرل ڈیموکریٹس کے کونسلر محمد خضر نے پیش کی، جو فرگروو، بیلفیلڈ اور سمال برج کے نمائندہ ہیں۔ قرارداد میں مطالبہ کیا گیا کہ روچڈیل کونسل برطانوی حکومت کو خط لکھ کر دفترِ خارجہ اور آنے والے وزیرِ اعظم سے مطالبہ کرے کہ وہ پاکستان اور پاکستان زیر انتظام جموں کشمیر کی حکومتوں کے ساتھ فوری مذاکرات کا آغاز کریں تاکہ گزشتہ چالیس روز سے جاری انسانی بحران کے حل کے لیے مؤثر اقدامات کیے جا سکیں۔ اجلاس میں اس قرارداد کی دیگر سیاسی جماعتوں نے بھی حمایت کی، جبکہ ریفارم اور کنزرویٹو پارٹی نے اس کی حمایت نہیں کی۔ رائے شماری کے بعد قرارداد منظور کر لی گئی، جسےپاکستان زیر انتظام جموں کشمیر کے انسانی بحران کے حوالے سے ایک اہم پیش رفت قرار دیا جا رہا ہے۔ #RightsMovementAJK #JKTV #JammuKashmirTV
