Omo Pastor (Pastors child). 2026 You see growing up in a Nigerian household is one thing but to grow as a pastors child is one heck of a bondage I must confess. Today I remember my friend Mathew, such a beautiful boy, he taught me how to haunt, how to care for my chickens. He was the first person to give me a memory card, a 64gb in 2012 is like a ram this day. But this story isn’t about how sweet Mathew was or how he got lost, it’s about the fatigue of being a pastors’ child. You see Mathew grew up being a Reverend’s child, always attending church at least thrice a week, cleaning and sweeping the church all for blessings. When we were 16 and going to our various universities, Mathew had stop coming to church, they would always see him passing through corners lying he was coming but never came. I totally understood, if I had the chance I wouldn’t be in the car with my parents. Two years later, Mathew was smoking weed, which was kinda of normal, as we all picked up a vice along the way but the thing was he had started a journey of being a Nigerian Prince on the very popular app called Facebook, when I saw Mathew he was far gone. The next time I heard about him, my friend said Mathew had gone A-wire, dude had finally landed in the big leagues and was declaring his sovereignty over at Quilox. I remember that in that same space while I was home back from school, they said Mathew is dead, oh my Mathew is dead, Mato don die. Ooooo the church he loved so much let him down and they had the gust to whisper he would go to hell. News said he was poisoned, some said the Jazz had expired, some said his time had come. The landlord had come to remind the tenant that his rent doesn’t qualify him as the sovereign owner of the property. They said he was in so much pain at the time of death, oh my they said his friends watched me spiral and laughed, he went mad and jumped into a well, he drowned in there. Oh Mathew, his father saw his body and fainted. It was now the church knew it needed to look out for all its flocks but it was too late, even for me it’s too late to go back to church. #isah #isahworld #isahvrexperience
