My grandparents come here legally! They didn’t cut line! They obtained their citizenship & they did it to have a better life for themselves, their children & for their grandchildren. My dad chopped cotton barefoot so he didn’t ruin his shoes that he wore to school. He told me he made up his mind in those fields that his children would never be in those fields. He obtained his diploma with honors & then obtained his degrees. My dad was an attorney & he gave me & my mom a life that one dreams of. And he worked his ass off for it! Now my grandchildren also benefit from him being successful. More so than I did. That man adores his grandchildren. He took all 3 of my kids to “look” at cars when they were 15. All 3 coming home in brand new luxury safe SUV’s. He bought all my vehicles as a teen as well. But my dad was crazy about me but let me tell you that man is absolutely in love with his grandchildren & I love it. It makes my heart happy. My son is following in his grandfather’s shoes & attending law school at an Ivy League university. My oldest daughter is a teacher with her masters & my youngest daughter is a radiologist. And all of this success is because my 100% Mexican grandparents were honest hard working people. They taught us the importance of our Mexican heritage but they also taught us to love America. To be patriotic. You can be patriotic & still appreciate your Mexican heritage. I’m so proud for this guy!
