To love and be loved is to be authentic and to allow someone to be authentically themselves. Sometimes what society calls a mid-life crisis, is actually a person realising their worth and they have stopped performing to please others. Some grow together and some grow apart.

We are looking for love but no one knows what and where to look. Our society taught us love is seen and felt when you are in a relationship. The high and lows feels familiar and when the intensity is gone, so is the feeling of love. So we keep chasing something that feels familiar something that feels good and intense but what if love is something calm, stable and grounded. What if love is not only found in relationship? What if love is within you and you can embody it? Ive kept searching for the truth and kept an open mind, im transforming my belief that love is only seen and felt when you are in relationship. Love is within you. You are love. You can be kind, compassion and understanding. What you give out to the world keeps coming back to you. You dont have to be in a relationship to feel love. By cresting and giving love outside, the world sends you back the love you created and shares. You can disagree with me, and thats fine. We see life as it is based on our experience and perspective of reality. And i agree with you, love can be addiction when we continuously consume something that makes us feel good. I was once a love addict and unconscious of my patterns. To feel loved is such a wonderful feeling but when the giver of love is no longer present or the feeling of love is no longer there, we seek another person or other things to fill that gap. the cycle of validation and addiction of love will not stop until we realise we are looking for answers deep within us. That we are love. Love can be your identity. People chase for love because they feel they dont have it. Loving yourself and reframing your belief that love is an identity and not a feeling you get in relationship is the key to becoming whole of love. You dont outsource love from others because if you do, the love you are supposed to be having is self limiting. You are love. We are love. We are all lovable.

I've been in dating apps for years, not to date but to ask people especially the married one or people who already have partners, why are they there, and why are they cheating...their common denominator is that they didn't have the chance to enjoy their 20s or their singleness, they were too young to have a child or family. They're testing the market if they are still sellable. And that's when I realized, I needed that lesson. I'm in my late 20s, enjoying my youth, my singleness.
