However, beyond the observable region, there may be a vast amount of space and objects that we cannot yet see. Therefore, the Universe may be significantly larger than the portion of space that humanity can observe. One of the most intriguing features of the Universe is its diversity. Space contains stars of varying sizes and temperatures, planets with diverse conditions, vast clouds of gas and dust from which new stars are born, and black holes—regions of space with such strong gravity that even light cannot escape them. Some stars end their lives in powerful explosions called supernovae.
