I feel like I could explain but then get so many responses from people who want to live in their fantasy version of reality saying I am wrong. Men watch you because they want to be with you. Even if they know they will never have a chance to be, as long as you seem single and available, it is still a chance, in the hypothetical. If you post you are in a relationship, that removes the availability. If you post the guy, now it's a comparison game: 'oh, so she wants that, a guy who looks nothing like me'. There are a seemingly endless supply of attractive women posting and seeking attention from strangers. Why not just move on to one where you can keep the delusional fantasy alive? A few people unfollowing cascades into the algorithm reacting etc etc. it's great you're happy, but you're happy with a specific person
