This darling three-year-old boy with the sweetest face will not make it out alive unless a foster or adopter steps forward before Tuesday, July 21st at 4 pm. Robert arrived here in June as “personal property” with LAPD after his owner was arrested, then spent 30 agonizing days on hold without walks or any human contact. Just one week after his hold ended, he was put on the euthanasia list due to kennel stress. Medical notes reveal Robert came in underweight, with his ribs and spine clearly visible, and there is concern he may have been a victim of cruelty or abuse. Volunteers say he is beginning to settle in. He adores giving kisses, happily sniffs everything around him, and has a lovely, mellow, easygoing, lower-energy personality. Robert has only been in one playgroup, where he started out stiff and jumpy but quickly relaxed, greeted other dogs appropriately, accepted corrections, and behaved well.
