@dailymail: New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani called on the U.S. government to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a video statement. Mamdani said his administration does not have the legal authority to enforce the warrant or make such an arrest. ‘The federal government, however, does, and I call on them to join the ICC and execute this warrant,’ he said. The Hague-based International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu in 2024 over alleged war crimes related to the Gaza war.
