I was baptized as a baby in the Methodist church. I was confirmed in the Methodist church. I no longer associate with the UMC d/t its new and non biblical teachings. I’m learning a lot of places don’t baptize babies. What’s the “right” thing to do?? I have a 6 month old and want to do the right thing

that's something that kinda bums me out. I live in a smaller city with a river going through it, that's where churches should be doing baptisms because it's free and maybe it'll get someone else passing by interested. at least in the summer, kinda hard to do it in Michigan winters 😂

Do you only support immersion baptism, or do you think sprinking is an acceptablr option? I am writing this from a rural area in Africa for context. Many churches dont have power and running water. There are rivers where some people get baptized but there are health concerns with this, including crocodiles.

The church, my grandfather passed her at actually used the creek next to the church to do baptisms year-round in Indiana

I had to go to next community to get baptized. local church wanted 3 months regular church attendance and tithe. I have faith in Jesus but I hope that doesn't put me in hell. he knows I tried my best.
