tools and spaces need to cleaned up immediately after finishing up. this includes pottery wheels and wedging tables period ESPECIALLY in a shared studio. I often wonder who raised people like this 😭😭 it's seems like common sense .

well if fear works as motivation look up silicosis because that's what you can get by inhaling clay dust. the less potential clay dust in your studio the better!

Nah that needs to be rule in a shared studio. Before you leave for the day everything you used must be cleaned, dried, and put away. It’s bad for the wheels and tools, and can contribute to dust in the studio if only cleaning up after it’s dried.

It’s a rule in my studio that everyone cleans after themselves before leaving. There is a cleaning protocol that everyone follows so it’s a standard process. I genuinely could not imagine leaving a wheel like that for more than 10 minutes. One time I forgot to wipe down a table I used and I drove back to the studio to clean it

at my studio, everyone is responsible to clean what they use and it saves the owners a ton of time! it might take me a few minutes, but I never mind doing it 😊

Change protocols to clean after every session and actually tell everyone like 20 minutes before hey we’re wrapping up, it’s like that in every studio I’ve been to.

I would say hey its not ok for you to not be cleaning up to space you use becuase its not my job to clean up after you so either clean it after you use it or stop coming here becuase me and my employees are getting very annoyed with you not cleaning it after you use it becuase it's common sense to clean it right after using it.
