TLOU2 fans don’t get the point of the argument. We’re not mad at Joel dying in the story, that was always going to happen. We’re mad at how SOON and unearned it felt. There was no tension, just straight shock factor with no buildup and poor writing.

Tlou2 is definitely a well written and well put together game. But it’s completely miserable from start to end with no ounce of hope for the future of the characters, particularly Ellie, once the credits roll, which I personally do not enjoy when I play a game. Well written game, just not the type of narrative I’m interested in consuming
