@laurenrelf_: Mum to mum… if you’re on maternity leave, this is the advice I wish someone had given me sooner 🤍 Start a brand new TikTok account. Block everyone you know if it helps. And just start posting. Because I know exactly what it’s like to overthink every single thing… “What if people laugh?” “What if nobody watches?” “What if I look silly?” I sat on the sidelines for months watching other women do exactly what I wanted to do. I convinced myself they were different. That they had more followers. More confidence. More experience. But they all started with zero too. When I was on maternity leave, I knew one thing for certain… I wasn’t ready to go back to spending 40+ hours a week away from my daughter. I wanted more choices. More freedom. A way to contribute financially without missing so much of her growing up. So I opened a fresh Instagram account. Blocked people I knew because it made me feel more confident. And started posting 2–3 short reels a day. Some got hardly any views. Some completely flopped. But I kept showing up anyway. Fast forward to today… ✨ I’ve made over £6,000 online. ✨ I’ve had £300+ days from my phone. ✨ I’ve been able to reduce my hours at work. ✨ We now have extra income helping towards our new mortgage. ✨ And most importantly, I get more time with my little girl. No, it didn’t happen overnight. No, I didn’t have a big following. And no, I didn’t create my own products. I simply learned a skill, followed a proven process, and stayed consistent.
