It’s not easy! After SHS in 2012, I started teaching in a private school and I was paid 80.00 with 7.00 classes fee every Friday, then fast forward, I started having private classes for some kids and that’s what saved me to do my diploma through distance, completed in 2018. Did my National Service whiles I did top up for my degree through same mode and was teaching in the private school alongside. I did worked at the building construction site to get some coins in addition. In 2022, grace located me and now in GES. I’m always grateful to God and my director of the private school I taught. He really took me like a brother and supported me. Teaching in the private school is the common way of getting employment, just that it’s better off with a degree than SHS certificate.
