Tips — 1. Doing more rhythmic bilateral movement - there’s incredible research behind how beneficial this is. Walking, gardening, Qigong, knitting, painting, swimming, butterfly tapping, swaying back and forth. So many different things you could easily add into your weekly (ideally daily) routine. 2. Practicing diaphragmatic breathing. Your breath is something you will always have no matter where you are and has such power over the state of your nervous system. The more you practice, the more skillful you become, the more you can control it. And whenever you’re anxious, angry, fearful, sad, etc. you can use your breath to help how your body responds. 3. Pick up a hobby before you pick up your phone. When you want to scroll, do your hobby first. That way you spend less time on social media and more time supporting your nervous system. Reading a book, learning a new hobby, making a recipe from scratch, going for a bike ride. 4. Have a glimmer that is able to bring you back. When you are feeling heightened, stressed, spiraling in thoughts. Have a moment that grounds you. A glimmer is opposite of a trigger. It is a moment where you felt happy, peaceful, relaxed. Think of where you were, what you were around, who you were with, how you felt. I create a glimmer bank - where I store all my memories that I can bring back when needed. If you want to hear more on this, I can create a video specifically for this because this has been insanely helpful for my journey. Hope these help, sending love 🤍 #nervoussystem #HealingJourney #healthtips
