@_themostknownunknown_: In November 2016, authorities rescued Kala Brown from a locked shipping container on a 95-acre property near Woodruff, South Carolina. She had been held captive for nearly two months and was found chained by her neck and ankle inside the dark container after deputies heard her calling for help. Brown told investigators that her boyfriend, Charlie Carver, had been shot and killed by the property’s owner, Todd Kohlhepp. His body was later discovered buried on the land. During the investigation, authorities also uncovered the remains of Johnny Joe Coxie and Meagan Leigh McCraw Coxie, a couple who had disappeared the previous year. The investigation revealed that Kohlhepp was also responsible for the unsolved 2003 Superbike Motorsports killings, bringing the total number of murder victims linked to him to seven. In 2017, he pleaded guilty to all seven murders and received seven consecutive life sentences, along with an additional 60 years for kidnapping and sexual assault.
