what if the reason Mj was the only person crying when everyone was frozen was because Jean showed her peters memories and that caused her to remember and cry. After everyone is unfrozen she is still crying and then goes to the spot they used to always hang at with the necklace Peter gave her in Far from Home. And in the hospital we see proof that MJ visited him, she left the drawing in his room. cmon guys think about it.

So this theory isn’t completely wrong but it slightly is and here is why… when Ned and Mj were frozen by Jean you can obviously see Mj shed a tear and Ned look very spooked out after they were released, and what I think Jean did after she was able to get inside Peter’s mind and realized that he cared about her, she wanted to help him so she found all the memories of Mj and Ned and she didn’t retrieve or unlock them in their minds, because those memories no longer exist in that reality, but rather she implanted/shared the memories they had together but they were all from Peter’s perspective because they were HIS memories so that’s why Mj was crying because she saw from Peter’s mind how much he loved her and she could also see herself in love with him and it was the same for Ned. And that’s why Ned remembered the handshake bc he had all the memories of seeing himself doing the handshake with someone but bc they are all from Peter’s perspective he doesn’t recognize who he is doing the handshake with and what Peter looks like, but obviously he knows that he called him Peter and Spider-Man so when muscle memory kicked in and he did the handshake with the guy who introduced himself as Peter he recognized that it was the Peter who he was apparently best friends with and obviously he recognized it was the same Peter who he also called Spider-Man in all of those memories, so when Mj had called Spider-Man, Peter, earlier in the movie, he put all the pieces together in his mind and realized he was the one whose memories were implanted in his mind, and just the same with Mj
