@junovizsla5: Loose lead walking with a Vizsla is HUMBLING to say the least!!! These videos were taken minutes apart, going from amazing loose lead, check ins, and following lead pressure to pulling, being at the end of the lead and needing a reminder to check in! Honestly, training an asolescent Vizsla is not for the weak, one day (or even minute) you’re smashing something and the next it’s like you’ve never even bothered to train it 😭😭 anyone else?!?! #looseleadtraining #vizsla #looselead #looseleadwalking #dogtraininglife
This comes with love and of course completely up to you what you want to do for your V. But have you considered moving the slip to up behind her ears? I have a 2 year old V and it saves damaging the trachea when they lunge and pull.

At some point during this walk she actually ended up on her hind legs as she tried to lunge towards a bird the other side of the road too 😭

Found it very easy, 2 weeks with halti collar, never pulls now and is usually off lead tucked behind my legs walking close

If this is any helpful I will say what worked for us. We bought an adjustable leash. First part of the walk was purely for exploration, sniffing etc and in that moment leash was on 4/5 meters long so she had her “freedom”, then when her needs were met the last 5/10 min were the training part, we put the leash on 1,5 meters and did exactly what you’re doing (following the pressure, attention on us, changing directions etc). Our dog behaviourist recommended that because if the whole walk is on the short leash it can lead to frustration and even more pulling. Plus 2/3 times a week we go to the fields where she can run freely and explore as much as she wants. We have a Bavarian mountain hound mix so we also had to struggle with needs of a teen hunting dog 😅😆 now she pulls only when we’re going to her favourite pet store 🫣😆
