In the new trailer they’re showing how the characters are stuck in default mode. At one point jack blacks delivery sounds almost identical to robin Williams voice

If Robin Williams was alive today, you KNOW he would have been in the new Jumanji coming out in December this year. I mean come on, his character would have heard about the random animals showing up in the real world and would’ve been like - yeah we need to get down there and help whatever poor suckers started playing the game this time.

it really upsets me that people haven’t watched zathura, because it is the sequel picture storybook to jumanji and they made a movie about it. but the game changes everytime it’s played based on the time it was played in. so in jumanji it was a boardgame because that’s what a lot of people played. in zathura it was a different kind of boardgame and then in the new ones it becomes a video game but it’s still all the same thing
