Yellowstone’s NPS reservation page still says entry doesn’t require a reservation, but lodging and campgrounds often fill months ahead. What actually ruins the trip: • too much driving • jumping between zones • wasting your best hours in the car • trying to do Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic, Canyon, and Lamar like they’re next door They’re not. The best Yellowstone trips are built by zone, not by trying to do it all.
