Planted garden and I raise chickens. Stocking up on food staples. Lots of solar lights. Pricing wood stove- yikes $$. Got a generator, gas cans. Small propane stove too for my greenhouse fir protected cooking outside. Paying off credit cards as possible. Absolutely beans and rice! I got 4 acres with a creek a decade ago as concerns about this possibility rose. I’ve cut back on EVERYTHING. Got through Helene 2 years ago- thought I was prepared . I was not.
