The problem is the company are aware that they should use metered standpipe but don’t really see any issue with not using them. Then you have the operator using what he’s been given,and if he asks for the proper equipment he gets fobbed off or banned from site for being a nuisance

We have a standpipe licence through Affinity and they don’t require the standpipes to be metered. Not saying what they’re doing is all above board, but don’t assume if they don’t have a meter they’re not compliant.
